At Community Bible Church, we consider it a high privilege and honor to touch peoples lives with the message of the Gospel and to help them grow in their faith. The centerpiece of our teaching ministry is the Bible.
We believe in the importance of training people in the Word of God. The Bible is foundational to maturing in the faith and living in such a way that pleases and honors God. Our desire is to help people of all ages grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We seek to help every person who comes through the doors of Community Bible Church grow toward maturity in Christ.
We offer a variety of Sunday School classes that seek to address the needs of all age groups. They are led by very dedicated, godly teachers who have a great passion for the Word and for people. Sunday School meets from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Adults of all ages:
Fred Kahn leads a class in the Fellowship Hall. Fred is a local businessman who has been involved at CBC for several years. He and his wife Valerie have 3 kids.
Paul Thomas leads the other all-age adult class. Paul works for TXU Energy. He has been involved in the life of CBC for many years, including having served for several years as a deacon & elder. He and his wife, Khris, head up our AWANA ministry.
Young Singles
Our young singles are in a class taught by Steve Baker. He has taught for a number of years, and has a great passion for the Word.
Children's Classes
Childrens classes go from infants to senior high school. Our nursery is for children 0 to 1 year of age.
Nursery
Mrs. Ruth Amy Schoen oversees our nursery. She has a degree in Christian Education, and is a teacher at a local high school.
Two's and Three's
Our 2s and 3s class is led by Debbie Monte. Debbie has a heart for children, and takes good care of our little ones.
Four's and Five's
Christina Lincoln provides outstanding care for this age group. She teaches at a level that is appropriate for these young, inquisitive minds, and loves the children with the love of Christ.
First & Second Grades
Matt Downey has a teacher's heart and is enjoying this group of kids!
Third & Fourth Grades
Mrs. Frances Clark teaches this class. Frances has a loving heart for children.
Fifth & Sixth Grades
This class is led by Mrs. Diane Boltas. Diane has taught this class for many years. The children in her class always grow very attached to her, and are always sad to move on to the next level.
Junior High
T. J. Harding teaches this class. T. J. home schools her two children, and she brings that love and care into the classroom. T. J. is a very creative teacher who brings great passion to her class.
High School
Our High class has been led by Greg Prater for several years. Greg is a teacher in the Irving ISD and has a heart for discipleship and missions.
